Holubová, Šárka ; Šorfová, Monika (advisor) ; Malá, Jitka (referee)
Title: Conservative treatment of proximal humerus fractures in the elderly: literature review Objectives: The aim of this thesis is a search processing mostly foreign available sources in the field of proximal humerus fractures in the elderly. The analyzed studies focus on the effectiveness of early therapy using early mobilization and also on the aspects that lead to the persistence of problems related to this diagnosis in the elderly. These studies are evaluated and compared on the basis of theoretical knowledge of the issue. The purpose of this work is to obtain an up-to-date overview of the issue and to present evidence of the effectiveness of this type of treatment. Methods: The diploma thesis is processed in the form of a literary research. The sources were researched in the PubMed, PEDro, MEDLINE, EBSCOhost, Scopus and Web of Science databases. The first part of the thesis contains a theoretical introduction to the issue of aging and related changes, it also focuses on fractures of the proximal humerus and their treatment. The second part of the work has a descriptive - analytical character and contains an analysis of selected studies that focus on the evaluation of early therapy after fractures of the proximal humerus. Results: At the end of the search, 6 studies focusing on early therapy...

Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after Proximal Humerus Fracture Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to describe the possibilities of physiotherapy treatment of patients after proximal humerus fracture. The summary of theoretical knowledge, orientation in specialized literature dealing with this topic and a case study of one patient. Methods: The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - the general part and the special part. The general part focuses on general information concerning this diagnosis, which will be accessed from specialized literature. Specifically, this part contains information about the anatomy and kinesiology of the shoulder girdle, general information about fractures of the proximal humerus, treatment options and rehabilitation. The special part contains a complex initial physiotherapy examination, therapy proposal, short and long term goals of therapy, description of individual therapies, output physiotherapy examination and the overall effect of therapy. Results: The case study of physiotherapy treatment was compiled on the basis of my bachelor practice in Centrum léčby pohybového aparátu in Prague during January and February of 2020. The result of physiotherapy treatment was reduced pain, increased range of motion and increased muscle...

Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after Proximal Humerus Fracture Aim: The main aim of this work was to summarize the theoretical knowledge, to be oriented in the specialized literature with given subject, and formulate the case study of the patient with subsequent evaluation of the therapy. Method: Bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and special part. In the theoretical part I have been focused on anatomical and kinesiological facts shoulder girdle. I summarized information of conservative and surgical treatment of proximal humerus fractures and subsequent rehabilitation care. In a special part I wrote a case study of the patient after broken proximal humerus, whose treatment was solved by osteosynthesis, the course of all therapies and afterwards resulting effect. Key words: Proximal humerus, fracture, osteosynthesis, rehabilitation, range of motion, shoulder girdle
Physiotherapy using continuous passive motion for patients after upper end of humerus fracture
Kormaňáková, Denisa ; Nahalka, Adrián (advisor) ; Nováková, Petra (referee)
BACHELOR THESIS ABSTRACT Author's firstname and surname: Denisa Kormaňáková Bachelor thesis supervizor: Mgr. Adrian Nahálka Oponent: Title of bacherol thesis: Physiotherapy using continuous passive motion for patients after upper end of humerus fracture Abstract: This thesis focuses on the use of continuous passive motion in physiotherapy for patients with fractured proximal humerus and studies the spectrum of active and passive shoulder joint movement and its muscle power. This publication is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part consists of the brief definition of shoulder joint from anatomical as well as kinesiological point of view. Another chapter describes main definitions of fractures and other divisions. The next part about fractured proximal humerus obtain its classification, diagnosis, therapy options and possible complications. The following chapter deals with physiotherapy itself after the fractured proximal humerus. The last part describes the history of continuos passive motion and its uses and the results. The practical part describes a case study of two patients after the operation of fractured proximal humerus. In discussion, there are findings which were concluded as a result of physiotherapy. Keywords: proximal humerus, fracture, shoulder joint, continuous...

OF THESIS Name: Eva Nováková Supervisor of the thesis: Mgr. Petra Nováková Opponent of the thesis: Title of the thesis: Physiotherapy in Patients with Surgical Treatment of Fractures of The Proximal Humerus Cooperation Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist This thesis deals with physiotherapy and occupational therapy for patients with surgical treatment of fractures of the proximal humerus. The aim is to show how important it is collaboration physiotherapist and occupational therapist for patients with this diagnosis and publish their examination procedure and proposal of therapy. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. Introduction the theoretical part contains an anatomical description of the humerus and anatomy and kinesiology shoulder joint. In the section devoted to fractures of the proximal humerus describes the most common causes of fractures, subsequent possibilities of conservative and surgical treatment, particularly with potential complications. The final section discusses post-operative rehabilitation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and the importance of the cooperation of a multidisciplinary team. The practical part consists of two case studies on which it is shown cooperation physiotherapist and occupational therapist for patients with this diagnosis...

Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after proximal humeral fracture. Aims: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize theoretical findings about the fracture of proximal part of humerus, to elaborate the patient casuistry and evaluate the effect of the therapy. Methods: In the first part I summarized theoretical basis to the topic of proximal humeral fracture. I mention anatomy and kinesiology of shoulder girdle, etiopathogenesis, diagnostics, classification, treatment and complications of the proximal humeral fracture. I did not focus on operation solutions in details as the doctors had chosen the non-operative treatment for the patient. Finally I describe the physical therapy and physical therapy modalities suitable for this diagnosis. The second part is focused on patient I. K. casuistry suffering from proximal humeral fracture. This special part is based on my bachelor practise in CLPA held in January 2016. It contains the anamnesis and initial musculoskeletal assessment on which bases the proposal and goals of the therapy were settled. Further I present all therapeutic units, final examination and therapy evaluation. Results: During one month therapy the edema and haematoma on the right arm were minimalized, the range of motion in the right shoulder joint increased,...
Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patinet after fracture of the proximal humerus.
Šedivá, Andrea ; Říha, Michal (advisor) ; Vrbický, David (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after fracture of the proximal humerus. This thesis was written during the work experience from 12.1.2015 to 6.3.2015 in Ústřední vojenská nemocnice in Prague and is divided into two parts - theoretical and special. Theoretical part of bachelor thesis consists of theoretical knowledge of physiotherapy treatment after fractures of the proximal humerus treated by osteosynthesis. It contains anatomy, kinesiology, traumatology and orthopedics. It also deals with proximal humerus fractures and their treatment. Schedule of physiotherapy treatment and physical therapy for this diagnosis is also included. The special part describes the case study of a male patient after the osteosynthesis of the proximal humerus. This part includes an anamnesis and an initial kinesiological analysis, which determines target of therapy and short-term and long-term plan. It also contains complete process of therapy and a final kinesiological analysis. The effect of therapy is described too. Key words: fracture, proximal humerus, osteosynthesis, bone healing process, rehabilitation, physical therapy.
